New World Will Be Merging Several Legacy Servers Across Multiple Regions This Weekend

Following the mass exodus to the newly-opened New World fresh start servers, some of the old “Legacy” servers have now been all but abandoned. To ensure that the players who decided to stay on the legacy servers will still be able to group up and participate in multiplayer activities, Amazon will be consolidating thirteen more of the old servers down to six later this week.
Here’s the new list of servers to be merged:
Central Europe
- Tupia will be merging into Asgard.
- Fae will be merging into Niflheim.
US East
- Eden will be merging into Olympus.
- Themiscyra and Frislandia are merging into Heliopolis.
US West
- Aukumea will be merging into El Dorado.
Australia
- Eridu will be merging into Delos.
The affected worlds will be taken down for a 2 ½ hour maintenance at 12 a.m. on December 2nd.
“As a reminder, we look into a combination of average concurrency, active characters, faction population, and more to determine which worlds should be merged,” Amazon said. “If you do not see your world on this list, we currently do not have any plans to merge them.”
As for requests to merge the new fresh start servers, that’s not going to happen anytime soon. “We’re aware of players wanting merges for Fresh Start Worlds and while we have communicated this feedback to the team, we do not currently have any plans to merge Fresh Start Worlds,” the studio said.
