New World Kicks Off XP Boosting Event Ahead Of Brimstone Sands’ Launch
The New World servers may already be bursting at the seams, but Amazon is still looking to encourage more players to jump in ahead of the Brimstone Sands expansion’s release next week. The studio is giving players a chance to catch up on leveling or maybe even create a new alt before the expansion arrives with an XP boosting event that will run until October 17th.
“To better prepare current and returning players for the zone’s level 60 content, a 1.5x Character XP event will run from October 5 at 12:01 AM PST through October 17 at 11:59 PM PST,” announced Amazon. “This bonus will also modify any existing rested XP, making now the best time to jump in. Our team can’t wait for the community to explore everything this release has to offer.”
Brimstone Sands itself is scheduled to launch the next day on October 18th and will open up a new Ancient Egyptian-inspired zone for high-level players, complete with new quests and expeditions. The expansion will also introduce leveling adjustments, overhaul the new-player experience, and add the new Greatsword weapon type.
