New World Plans Another Round Of Merges, Opens Transfers Out Of Fresh Start Worlds

Amazon Game Studio is making good on its promise to reassess New World’s server population prior to the release of its first season with another round of server merges.
In a recent announcement, Amazon revealed its plans to merge 11 servers located in Central EU, US-East, and South America. Amazon hasn’t provided a timeline for the merger just yet but promised to share the dates as soon as possible. In the meantime, players should start making the necessary preparations as merges typically happen soon after they’re announced.
In addition to the server merges, Amazon has also opened up transfers from fresh start worlds. “We understand that some players on Fresh Start worlds have been anticipating transferring to a Legacy world,” said the studio. “The option to transfer out of Fresh Start Worlds has been made, and players are now freely able initiate transfers from either world-to-world or region-to-region.”
Don't let the word “freely” fool you though. Players will need to have a spare transfer token or purchase one to move to a different server. So, if you're looking for a change of scenery or want to join up with friends on a different server, be prepared to pay the price.
🌐 We will be merging several worlds within Central EU, US-East, and South America. We will share the exact dates for these merges as soon as possible.
🚚 In the meantime, "Transfer Out" restrictions have been lifted from all Fresh Start worlds! https://t.co/OmDauCFxsl
