New World Players Struggle With Server Queues, New Servers Opening Today

New World has seen a sudden resurgence in its playerbase over the past few months following the release of its Summer Medleyfaire event at the end of July. The servers, however, were unprepared for the sudden influx of players which had the unfortunate and not entirely unexpected side effect of long queue times.

The good news is that Amazon is on top of the issue and will be opening three new servers today. The US East, South America, and Central Europe regions will be getting one new server each which will be named after previously closed servers although the studio assures the community that they’re entirely new ones.

Amazon is inviting players to transfer their characters or create new ones on the new servers to help alleviate the queues. The studio won’t be handing over free character transfer tokens though nor wil they be increasing the character limit on existing overpopulated servers, at least not yet.

Meanwhile, Instanced Wars have returned to Aeternum as of the fantasy MMORPG’s latest update yesterday after being pulled from the test server back in July.
