New Mobile RPG MapleStory M To Be Released Next Year

Nexon has announced MapleStory Mobile right before G-Star 2015 and just after the release of Pocket MapleStory. The Korean publishing company must not believe in limits to the number of MapleStory title that can be crammed onto the Play Store and iTunes.
MapleStory Mobile will feature 5 starting classes, as opposed to Pocket MapleStory's 3, and appears to offer a true experience to the original PC incarnation than its predecessors. But as I haven't personally tested the game the notion is pure stipulation. But I can be assured that there will be plenty of character customization, party-grinding, bosses, and—in all likelihood—a robust cash shop.
The new edition was featured at the same event as MapleStory VR, an odd choice for traditionally 2D worlds. It seems the beloved original franchise will be around for a new generation who will experience the charming worlds of MapleStory entirely on mobile devices (minus MapleStory 2) and through the lenses of VR.
No word yet on a Western release for MapleStory M. But if precedent serves as any guide the new MapleStory mobile will eventually see a global release.
