New Crowfall Dev Blog Talks About Classes, Passive Skills, And Account-Wide Inventory

crowfall classes meadow bannerArtCraft has just published a new dev blog that talks about the playable classes in their upcoming medieval fantasy MMORPG, Crowfall. Players will be able to choose from 11 classes in total, but according to the devs, they’re basically different versions of the three core RPG characters: Fighter, Mage, and Rogue. Here’s a rundown of the available classes:

If you are the type that wants to charge straight into combat with a “no guts, no glory” mindset and your weapon swinging, the Fighter Classes will be well-suited to your bone-crusher style.

  • Champion
  • Knight
  • Myrmidon
  • Templar

Prefer to put a bit of safe distance between yourself and the mayhem of the front lines? Mages provide valuable support to the team with a plethora of invaluable tools at their fingertips for healing, buffs and debuffs, and area of effect spells that can make or break the outcome of a battle.

  • Confessor
  • Cleric
  • Druid
  • Frostweaver

And then there are those of you whose taste falls somewhere between mischief and miscreant. You need the excitement of a character that’s rascally, stealthy, either the lookout or the one that should be looked out for. Maybe a little of Column A and a little of Column B? We’ve got you covered with our Rogue classes.

  • Assassin
  • Duelist
  • Ranger

The devs also talk about the game’s passive skill system which will not only allow players to gain skills even while they’re offline but will also be shared with other characters in the account. The inventory will also be account-based so you can create a new character without having to start from scratch. “It really takes the sting out of starting a new character!” says ArtCraft. “This is especially good news for the legions of MMO players out there who have the condition commonly known as ‘alt-it is’.”
