Neverwinter Nerfs Dragons, Tiamat, And The Epic Dragonbone Wand

It’s a bad time to be a dragon in Neverwinter following the release of the ominously-named Dragonslayer expansion. Not only are they constantly hunted, they’ve also been hit with the big bad nerf bat in the D&D MMORPG’s latest patch.
Green Dragons have been hit particularly hard as they’ve had their nasty Mass Dispel debuff ability completely removed. The five-headed dragon Tiamat has also had her overall damage reduced, her defeat conditions made easier, and her accompanying mini-bosses made significantly weaker in Normal difficulty. Mini-boss HP has been nerfed by about 25%, Vile Swarm patches have been reduced from 5 to 3, and the telegraph period for spells has been increased from 3 seconds to 5, giving players a little more time to evade them.
Note that the Standard mode for Rise of Tiamat has been removed from RTQ and Public Queues but is still available via Private Queues.
Aside from nerfing the mighty dragons, the update also comes with several bug fixes including the reopening of Caer-Konig and a correction for the Epic Dragonbone Wand’s Critical Strike which was inadvertently set at 45% and is now down to the correct value of 4.5%. That’s how important (and powerful) decimal points are.
The full patch notes can be found on the Neverwinter official site.
