Netflix Announces Dota 2 Anime Series Arriving On March 25

dota 2 dragons blood davion bannerFollowing the announcement of Resident: Evil Infinite Darkness, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, and a Tomb Raider-inspired anime series, Netflix has revealed yet another upcoming video game anime adaptation. This time, the streaming giant will be producing an anime series based on popular MOBA, Dota 2, in cooperation with Valve, the game’s developer.

“We’re excited to announce a brand-new anime series exploring the Dota universe like never before,” tweeted Valve. “As fellow fans of Dota and its passionate global community, we look forward to sharing this new adventure with you when it premieres on Netflix March 25.”

The announcement comes with a trailer that gives the Dota and Netflix community their first look at the upcoming animated series, titled Dota: Dragon’s Blood. From the trailer and the title itself, it appears as if Davion, the Dragon Knight, will be playing a key role in the series.
