NCSoft And Tencent Announce Blade And Soul Prequel Hongmoon Rising

According to MMOCulture, NCSoft and Tencent announced today that they are co-developing a multi-platform prequel to Blade and Soul entitled Blade and Soul: Hongmoon Rising. The game's story will cover the rise of the Hongmoon Clan before its fall at the beginning of Blade and Soul.

Very little is known about the title at this time. According to 2p, the game's combat system is being designed in a way that it will deliver an "authentic" Blade and Soul experience. It is reportedly being developed for both PC and mobile. VR features may very well be under consideration.

It is not yet known when the game will be released or whether it may eventually make its way to the West. You can, however, see the game in action in the video below.
