My Time at Sandrock is a multi-platform life sim that launched into early access in May 2022 and is the latest addition to Pathea’s “My Time at” series of games. The game initially launched as a single player title but is on its way to getting a multiplayer mode as Pathea announces an open playtest for the feature which will run from January 12th to January 19th.

Pathea ran a closed playtest for the upcoming multiplayer mode last month but will be letting the general public try it for themselves this time around. Next week’s open playtest will feature various improvements based on feedback from the closed testing which includes the addition of more co-op missions, a co-op dungeon, mounts, and a farming system, as well as updates to the town management systems and guild expansion features.

“You'll arrive in a new home called The Builders Plaza. Invite up to 3 friends (a total of 4 players) to work, build, travel, fight, and dive into dungeons together! The multiplayer story background is that players play the special equipment invented by Qi, enter the Meta area world and experience the ‘semi-fictional, compressed’ history of Sandrock. You can encounter familiar faces from the singleplayer storylines while experiencing various historical events that happened in the town of Sandrock.”

My Time at Sandrock is available for purchase on Steam for $24.99 and is expected to remain in early access for about a year. More information about the upcoming open playtest can be found in this FAQ.
