MU Legend's Graphics Were Improved Because Of A Comparison To Mobile Games

In a humorous turn of events, MU Legend's graphics have been improved as part of the changes being made for the game's second Closed Beta, which begins on September 1st. I am sure I'm not alone in thinking that it looked rather nice to begin with, but it seems that not everyone shared that opinion. According to MMOCulture, a user who took part in the first Closed Beta commented that the game "looks like a mobile game," which sparked WEBZEN to "prioritize" a graphics upgrade.

For those interested, new dungeons, a "new Relic system," and the beginnings of a guild system are also set to be included in Closed Beta 2. No new classes will be introduced, however, as WEBZEN is focused on balancing existing classes.

A trailer for Closed Beta 2 has been embedded below, as well as an older gameplay video. It's unclear whether the graphics improvements are on display or not, but I would imagine they are, as Closed Beta 2 begins in just over a week.

Matt's Take:

With how many comments I've seen from players that are concerned that the companies publishing the games they play aren't listening to them, it's refreshing to see that WEBZEN is, in fact, listening. Improving the game's graphics could potentially be a huge undertaking, so it really shows that WEBZEN cares what players think about the game. I'm quite interested in seeing what other changes might be implemented based on community feedback as Closed Beta testing continues.
