MU Legend Launches Today In South Korea, At A Later Date Globally

It's official; MU Legend is now the first of the latest crop of MMOARPGs to launch, having made it to Open Beta before Lineage Eternal and Lost Ark. Unfortunately, it's only live in South Korea, but it still is the first of these games to make it to market. What's more, you can play it today, should you be so inclined, but you will need a Korean WEBZEN account in order to do so.

Today, WEBZEN's Western branch also issued a statement about the global version, which is as follows.

For the global markets, the MU Legend team is currently working on localization implementation, bringing English, German, French, Polish, Spanish and Brazilian-Portuguese to players. The start date of the open beta for the global version is not yet finalized, but Webzen will announce the schedule in the coming weeks.

If I had to guess, we won't be seeing MU Legend's global launch for at least another month. That being said, the fact that we will be hearing about an Open Beta launch "in the coming weeks" heavily suggests that the wait will be a fairly short one.
