Mecha BREAK Launches Season 1 with Fresh Strikers and Sizeable Update

Mecha BREAK, the multiplayer shooter that trades infantry combat for towering mechanized suits, has rolled out its first full season on PC and Xbox. Dubbed 'Pulse of the Indigo Stone', the update arrives less than a year after the game’s early‐access debut and continues the industry’s push toward live, seasonal content for competitive action titles.
The new season’s headline additions are two playable Strikers: HEL and ALPHARD. HEL leans on stealth and long-range artillery, while ALPHARD emphasizes speed-driven assault runs reminiscent of classic space-combat anime set pieces. Amazing Seasun Games is timing the launch ahead of its appearance at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, where the studio hopes to put the fresh content in front of a broader, mech-loving audience.
Key Highlights of the Update:
- Two new Strikers: HEL (sniper/stealth focus) and ALPHARD (high-speed assault)
- Eight additional weapons, ranging from howitzers to decoy drones
- Striker Archive: Narukami Type-S plus its exclusive pilot, Kanon Kamiya
- Extra special-edition Strikers and pilots, including Serenith Custom
- Overhauled tutorials to smooth out the learning curve for new pilots
- Reworked “Matrix Selections” and “Matrix Contract” battle pass systems with more flexible rewards
- Expanded daily, weekly, and monthly missions that feed into the new pass structure
Amazing Seasun plans to showcase Season 1 on the show floor at Makuhari Messe from September 25-28, slotting the game into Hall 2’s N05 booth.
Shortly after the Season 1 update went live, the game's playerbase jumped to 9,061, up from a peak of 5,232 on Steam from the day before. While playerbase numbers are off significantly from an all time high of 132,816, with thousands of players online at any given time, finding matches isn't difficult. Still, Mechabreak relied on heavy advertising during early access. Without constant promotion, time will tell if the game can remain front of mind.
