Maxmuses Announce God Caster, An Online Trading Card Game

Maxmuses announced their Square-Enix Collective project, God Caster, via press release today. God Caster is an online trading card game that is slated for PC, current generation consoles, and 3DS. The game features a unique approach to resource management in that mana, called Myth Pan, will fall from the sky at the beginning of each round. Players must be the quickest to pick it up in order to earn the advantage for that round. Players will be able to play using this mechanic in both PvE and PvP settings.

Given that it is a Square-Enix Collective project, the game must make it through the Collective process before heading to crowdfunding, so it may be a while before we see if it actually comes to fruition. Nevertheless, you can vote for it here or sign up for more info and take part in a pre-registration of sorts at the official website. Personally, I think the art style is nice and the Myth Pan system intrigues me. Hopefully it will at least get the chance to get past the Collective process.
