Master X Master's Third Alpha Will Begin On August 25th

NCSoft has announced that Master X Master's third Alpha test will run from August 25th to August 31st. The Alpha will be open to everyone who signed up for the newsletter before today, as well as those who obtain a key through a giveaway. This particular Alpha test also marks the first time that the game will have European servers. French and German localizations are being introduced alongside the

In terms of content, players will be given their "first look at the Mini Games mode." A "Guild Wars 2 Ascalon event stage" will also be included. You can find brand new screenshots of both the Mini Games mode and the Ascalon event stage from gamescom embedded below.

NCSoft also recently introduced Lua, an Assault Master who carries an SMG. You can find more information about Lua here or see her in action in the trailer below.

Matt's Take:

Master X Master is quite fun and NCSoft has timed the Alpha tests well to keep the hype train running. Depending on how many Alpha tests there are, restarting each time may begin to wear on those that are taking part in each test. This is an especially prevalent issue in a game like Master X Master where Masters must be unlocked by playing the game for a decent amount of time. However, adding additional content each test as they have been definitely helps and I am rather looking forward to trying out the Mini Games mode and Ascalon event stage myself.
