NetEase has confirmed that Marvel Rivals will also be launching on next-gen consoles alongside its PC release with cross-platform play. The upcoming team vs. team shooter will also be made available in more regions at launch along with two new characters, Adam Warlock and Venom, and a new map to fight on.

The console announcement trailer offers a sneak peek at the new characters with Adam Warlock taking on the role of backline support and Venom obviously as a super aggressive assault character. The trailer also offers a preview of the new team-up attack mechanic that will allow two characters to join together to unleash powerful attacks and abilities just like in the Marvel fighting games.

Alpha testing has also come to an end and NetEase is now gearing up for a closed beta test in July on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S which will include the said characters and the new Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands map. The studio promises to reveal more information soon. In the meantime, you can check out the new trailer below.
