MapleStory 2 Logs Over 1M Accounts, Damage Scaling Changes Coming In November

maplestory 2 chibi pigIt’s been two weeks since MapleStory 2 launched globally and by all accounts the game is doing really well. Since the game launched on October 10th, players have registered over 1 million accounts and over 2 million characters. To celebrate the milestone, the devs will be extending their Normal Adventure Dungeon Double Loot event for another week. The devs will also be giving away free +8 Enchant Scrolls and 200 Red Merets every day of the event.

Come November, Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games will also be making significant changes to damage scaling for players level 50 and up while in level 50 dungeons. Players can expect to deal up to 10% more damage once the changes take effect. “We are making this change to ensure, as players progress on their level and gear score, they can continue to give higher damage to the monster,” says the devs.

Meanwhile, a fix for the 100053 Disconnection error is underway although the devs have yet to announce a date for the fix. The devs are also working on a fix for Game Launch Errors associated with a number of graphics and audio cards.
