Lord Of The Rings Online Drops Update 40, New DLC, And Supporter Pack This Week

After multiple rounds of testing, Standing Stone Games is finally ready to roll out the next major update for Lord of the Rings Online this week. The studio confirmed Update 40’s release for Wednesday, May 15 followed by the launch of a new supporter pack the day after.

Update 40: Beneath the Surface, will add new Umbar quests by way of the new Neaths DLC. The quests will take players on a new adventure beneath the port city’s busy streets where they’ll encounter new foes and take on new challenges. The update will also include another round of class balance adjustments, gameplay tweaks, and bug fixes.

On the subject of paid content, Standing Stone Games will be launching the new Whimsical Patrons Coffer supporter pack on May 16 which will include an exclusive horse mount with a carrying basket inhabited by an adorable kitten.
