Lord Of The Rings Online’s Corsairs Of Umbar Expansion Is Now Live On The Test Server
The first three zones of Lord of the Rings Online’s upcoming Corsairs of Umbar expansion is now available for testing on the Bullroarer server in preparation for the expansion’s release next month.
Players will be free to experience the sights and sounds of the King’s Gondor West, Outer Gondor, and the Shield Isles until tomorrow evening. They’ll be able to take on the various mobs that inhabit the new regions and try out the revamped essence gears as well as the upcoming balance adjustments to main stats and melee range. Anything that touches on the storyline will be inaccessible to avoid any spoilers.
Speaking of revamps, LOTRO’s crafting system will also be getting a major overhaul when Corsairs of Umbar comes out. One of the big changes planned is the unlinking of professions from bundled vocations to give players more crafting flexibility by allowing them to mix-and-match crafting skills with no restrictions.
Unfortunately, the independent Umbar-exclusive crafting tier that Standing Stone planned to introduce won’t be making it to the game because of the “wall of ancient code” that requires players to work their way up the crafting tiers to get to the latest one.
In any case, players still have a lot of new content and features to look forward to when Corsairs of Umbar arrives on November 1st. You can check out the latest Bullroarer release notes on the Lord of the Rings Online official forums.
