Lord of the Rings Online’s ancient in-game cash shop is set to receive a major makeover as part of tomorrow’s update. The revamped store will feature a sleeker and modern-looking interface and will come with additional features such as the ability to tag favorites and search for recently added items.

It’s mostly going to be a visual makeover though and the store will retain previously available functions including the ability to purchase LOTRO Point bundles, redeem coupons, and preview purchases. However, game time cards and Amazon Pay will no longer be supported after the update. Players are warned to expect a longer maintenance downtime as the revamped in-game store is being deployed.

In other LOTRO news, Standing Stone Games continues to put Update 37 through its paces on the Bullroarer test server. The update is expected to arrive at the end of August and will introduce various gameplay improvements including a stat squish of some form. Stay tuned for more details.
