Like a Ghost, Gangplank Returns

After last week's scare that Riot would actually be removing a champion from League of Legends, an announcement was made that they would not be offering refunds. Now we know why. Gangplank isn't really dead at all and, subsequently, isn't being removed from the game. He returns with the latest patch and will be playable for the duration of the Bilgewater: Burning Tides event, which ends on August 10th. Players that complete a matchmade game with Gangplank during the event—or have in the past—will receive the Captain Gangplank skin, which depicts the pirate as he was before the events of Bilgewater: Burning Tides, free of charge.
