Legends Of Runeterra Rolls Out ‘Guardians Of The Ancient’ Expansion

The Guardians of the Ancient expansion is now live in Legends of Runeterra, Riot GamesLeague of Legends CCG spinoff. As you might have expected from a CCG expansion, Guardians of the Ancient introduces 42 new cards into the game, along with the new Blade Dance keyword.

“Cards with Blade Dance summon a number of Blades, which immediately begin a Free Attack against your opponent. Blade Dance attacks can take place with or without an Attack Token, and doesn’t consume the Attack Token when it happens. A single Blade may not look like much on its own, but you shouldn’t underestimate the combo potential of such a versatile tool.”

The expansion also adds two new challenges, new Region Road levels, new Guardians and emotes, and three new Champions: Irelia, Malphite, and Zilean. Details can be found in the full patch notes on the Legends of Runeterra official site. Don’t forget to check out the official Guardians of the Ancient trailer below.
