During Ster's stream special guest Jeff Kaplan, lead designer on Overwatch, talked a bit about the future of the game and what player's can expect. Redditor /u/MattRix provided a summary of what was discussed over at the Overwatch subreddit.

Without going over every detail, a few interesting points:

  • New skins will be added before the end of summer. I'm glad I've been saving my coins.
  • Four maps are currently in development but there's no guarantee they'll all be added to the game.
  • Coin flip will be removed for Season 2.
  • Hitboxes are being reworked in an attempt to address around-the-corner hits.

These are just a few of the major points as highlighted in the Reddit post, but the stream is well worth checking out for more information and excellent Overwatch gameplay. I'm hoping to see some new maps sooner than later, but I don't mind waiting for them to be refined.
