InselGames Is Crowdfunding A German Localization Of Guardians Of Ember

InselGames announced today that it has launched an IndieGoGo campaign to raise the funds necessary create a German localization of Guardians of Ember. If InselGames reaches its goal, the German localization will be released sometime closer to the end of this year, whereas the English version will be released at the end of September.
While the German localization is the focus of this crowdfunding campaign, those interested in Guardians of Ember can pre-order the game at a discount or get a hold of some unique extras, like a t-shirt, by making a pledge. The base game and Demigod Edition of the game can be purchased for $17 and $25, respectively, whereas they will cost $19.99 and $29.99, respectively, at launch.
Matt's Take:
Crowdfunding support for additional languages is a good way to ensure that you have the resources to support said languages. It also allows InselGames to offer rewards to potential players for supporting the game shortly before its release. There tends to be a stigma about crowdfunding, but projects like these are almost guaranteed to actually happen. The English version of the game will be released at the end of the month, so there's an actual game that is within reach. All that's left is for InselGames to ensure that it has the funds to translate the game into more languages.
