Horror-Themed MOBA Deadbreed To Shut Down On January 31st

Deadbreed AB announced earlier this month that its horror-themed MOBA Deadbreed will be shut down on January 31st, 2017. The three-man team attempted to innovate within the MOBA genre by adding RPG elements and "strategic objectives" into the mix, but the game ultimately fell flat. After spending nearly two years in Early Access, Deadbreed officially launched on April 14, 2016. It maintained an average concurrent user count of greater than 100 for just over a month after launch. Since then, the average concurrent user count dropped significantly every few months before settling at just under 20. The peak concurrent user count for the last 30 days is 55. It's hard to imagine that the game was still sustainable.

Those that are interested in giving Deadbreed a(nother) shot before it shuts down can still download it from Steam for the time being.
