Heroes of the Storm Updates Placement And Rankings

Blizzard Entertainment's MOBA, Heroes of the Storm, has recently reset Hero and Team League rankings to implement a new system. The update adds a new placement system, forcing players to completely 20 minimum ranked games in order to get an accurate read on their true ranking. For those of you who worked hard to obtain ranks— don't fret— your old ranking is still factored in your final placement.

The intention of the new system is to more accurately place people into the correct ranks.

Players who are in the top 10% may experience issues with climbing to their previous ranks, which is a known issue. Blizzard devs have stated that they are aware and are going to re-implement the old bonus points system to players within ranks 1-5.
