Heroes & Generals Releases "Xylander" Update
World War II MMOFPS, Heroes & Generals, has released their latest update— Xylander. The new update features some love for the Soviet Faction, giving them the AVS-36 rifle which features semi-automatic and full auto modes, and fires full sized rifle rounds. Players can obtain the gun at Assault Ribbon Rank 12 and it can be upgraded like other guns.
In addition, the Soviet Faction has received the Long Blade AVS-36 Bayonet which is the longest knife currently in the game— giving it superior reach in melee quarters. Despite being a bayonet, there is no option to mount it on rifles as of yet.
Some other key features include:
- Multiple camouflage uniforms for every faction.
- Town map update that encourages close quarters combat.
- Factory map updated according to community feedback.
- Salary has been changed to pay based on total time played rather than total battles.
The Generals War Mode has also been updated so that incredibly lopsided matches that wouldn't be fun for either side have been changed to be automatically resolved by the battle director rather than forcing players to play them out. This should help encourage players to participate in War Mode. War Battles were also given bonuses for rank and ribbon xp and are currently the only way to earn Warfunds for soldiers.
