Guns of Icarus Alliance Enters First Round Of Testing

Players eager to see the Alliance PvE expansion for Muse Games' flying ship combat game, Guns of Icarus Online, reach fruition will be happy to that it has now entered its first phase of testing. Announced via the Steam Community today, the expansion is now playable by those who backed the Kickstarter. Players who pre-order on the Humble Store before the second phase of testing will be permitted access then. Steam pre-orders are supposed to be live soon, as well.

Guns of Icarus Alliance—Prologue

Alliance is planned to become a 16 player, four ship cooperative battle against AI opponents. Players will be able to progress their characters and factions as they play. A world map will set the stage for these battles that will "shift the course of history." Your actions can become immortalized in the lore.

Not all of this will be in the game at first, though. They will slowly be added as the game pushes forward towards launch in 2016.

Additionally, as a direct result of this expansion entering testing, the base game has dropped in price to $9.99.
