Grapeshot Schedules Atlas Server Wipe And Massive Content Drop On Saturday

atlas cat pirate hat bannerYesterday, we reported that Studio Wildcard spinoff Grapeshot Games will be launching their pirate MMO Atlas on Xbox One’s Game Preview on October 8th. The studio promised support for cross-platform multiplayer as well as simultaneous updates and content drops for both PC and Xbox versions to ensure that players on both devices have the same experience.

Unfortunately, the studio will have to perform a data wipe to ensure that players have the “smoothest possible gaming experience.” The servers will be wiped at 12am EST on September 28th. “Following the wipe, we will be permanently relaunching the NA PvP Network in order to iterate on our changes in a live-environment, following that will be the full permanent relaunch of all other networks on the 8th of October with full crossplay support (NA PvP will not wipe again on the 8th),” says Grapeshot.

The pirate MMO will also receive a massive content drop this Saturday featuring a new world map, improved biome layouts, a new biome type, over 70 new core island templates, over 20 new cosmetics, full Gamepad support, the Wild Pirate Camps option for singleplayer, the new multi-shot Hydra Pistol, and cats with pirate hats.
