Grab A Whole Host Of Freebies In Lord Of The Rings Online’s 15th Anniversary Event
Standing Stone Games has officially kicked off anniversary celebrations in Lord of the Rings Online and are giving away the best gift players could ask for – a boatload of free content.
To mark the long-running MMORPG’s 15th anniversary, the studio has made all expansions from Mines of Moria to Helm’s Deep permanently free, along with all their related quests and content. You can also add the Beorning, Rune-Keeper, and Warden classes, as well as the High Elf race to the list of now-free content.
On top of all the freebies, Standing Stone is also giving away various in-game items, including Mithril Coins, various boosts and tokens, a free riding trait, a free Gift of Valar level boost, a light weapon aura, a corgi pet, and an exclusive mount. Note that some of these gifts can only be claimed by the first character that you login with during the event, so make sure that you login with the right one.
Long-time players will also be able to claim their 15-year giftboxes which contain fireworks, a portrait frame, and a new title. Players can also earn additional rewards in this year’s series of anniversary events and instances. Oh, and the new Yondershire region has also opened its doors just in time for the festivities.
The studio has also released new Collector’s Editions of the Mordor, Minas Morgul, and War of Three Peaks expansions.
