GOG Offers Full Refund For No Man’s Sky Due To Multiplayer Delay
No Man’s Sky has finally gotten its much-awaited full multiplayer experience with the launch of the NEXT update this week. Unfortunately, players who purchased the game from GOG.com won’t be getting multiplayer until later this year and their customers aren’t happy. The delay is due to the additional time and effort Hello Games needs to bring the feature over to all versions and platforms.
GOG solved what would’ve been a huge backlash by offering a refund for the game out of their own pockets. Here’s GOG’s official announcement:
“Although Hello Games chose not to offer refunds over missing game content to our users and instead promised to bring the missing multiplayer content later this year, we understand that some of you might not be willing to wait. For this reason, entirely at GOG’s own cost, we’re offering an extended refund policy for all owners of No Man’s Sky. Even if your purchase is no longer covered by the 30-Day Money Back Guarantee, you can contact our customer support team and we’ll issue a refund in wallet funds.”
If you’re not too keen on waiting until later this year for the promised multiplayer feature, you can get a full refund for the game until Sunday, July 29th. You can also head over to GOG.com for more info.
