Gloria Victis v0.4.7 Enhances PvP Combat, Makes Major Changes To NPCs

Gloria Victis v0.4.7 is the patch that adds the promised headshot functionality to PvP combat. Along with it, players can now earn experience through PvP combat. But that's not all. Black Eye Games have made a few other changes.

Several additions were made to the world. A new town—Fangsborough—was added in "the northwest part of Stoneholm." A raiders camp and battleground were introduced near Twinfall. Stones and wooden logs to throw down on enemies have been added as new gate tower defensive objects.

Several changes have also been made to NPCs. NPCs now patrol randomly, making their movement unpredictable. The movement speed of both players and NPCs that are blocking has been increased. Every player can now loot every slain NPC.

Additionally, the player who gets the last hit gets the experience from killing an enemy now, rather than the player that hit the enemy first. This is an important distinction and will change the way people approach PvE combat quite a bit. I have a feeling that the change was inspired by players running through fields of NPCs, hitting them once and leaving them for other players to kill for them.
