Gloria Victis Enters Alpha With Version 0.5

With how far Gloria Victis has come it's often easy to forget that the upcoming medieval sandbox MMORPG has been in pre-alpha. That changed yesterday as version 0.5 hit live servers, taking the game into alpha status. Quite a lot has changed and one of the most important notes is that all progress from the pre-alpha was wiped entirely.
Headlining the update are the previously announced reworks of the inventory and guild systems. Player inventories can now be expanded by equipping additional bags or sacks. Guilds can now make use of a guild announcement system. The developers are aiming to add an in-game coat of arms editor sometime in the near future. Flags and banners flying in locations the guild owns will bear muti-layered emblems created by guild masters. Eventually, the goal is to also have these coats of arms on shields and tabards.
The previously announced buff rework has also been introduced. Various food buffs have been implemented. Players will receive buffs and bonuses for holding a location. Domination during "the war of nations" will provide additional rewards now.
