Geneshift, Formerly Subvein, Multiplayer Demo Is Now Available On Steam

Sometime in 2010, I tried out a top-down online multiplayer shooter called "Subvein." At the time, the game was a free, online-only experience reminiscent of the early Grand Theft Auto games, except utilizing competitive online multiplayer modes instead of a sandbox campaign. At the time, it didn't have much of a playerbase and it eventually faded into obscurity.
Fast forward to today and the game is back, on Steam, under the name "Geneshift." The game now boasts online multiplayer in the same vein as Subvein, vehicles that can be used by multiple players at once, "mutant skills," and a campaign that can be played either alone or online with friends.
While the full game will hit Steam Early Access on April 27th, a demo was made available on April 12th—albeit those who had previously played Subvein didn't receive an email until today. The demo, much like Subvein's free version, contains free access to Conquest mode, one of the game's online 8v8 multiplayer modes. When the full game launches, those using the demo client will even be able to play online with those that own the full game.
Those who are interested can download the demo via the Steam store page.
