Indie Roguelike Gatekeeper: Infinity Launched On Steam With Top-Down Risk Of Rain Vibes

Gatekeeper: Infinity is a new co-op roguelike that launched as a free-to-play game on Steam earlier this month from indie developer Gravity Lagoon. The game features top-down ARPG gameplay with a sci-fi theme that can best be described as a cross between Diablo and 2013 platform game Risk of Rain.
“Get ready to embark on an epic quest to recover the stolen Heart of the Universe on two different planets across twelve challenging locations. With 4 unique and playable characters to choose from, you can customize your gameplay experience and play to your strengths.”
Each of the four playable characters comes with its own unique set of skills that can further be tweaked and customized with 45 different upgrades. In their quest for the Heart of the Universe, players will encounter various enemy types, each of which will offer different challenges.
Steam reviews are “Very Positive”, with reviewers praising the game’s mechanics but also pointing out its lack of content and repetitive runs, especially for a roguelike. If you want to check the game out for yourself, Gatekeeper: Infinity is now free to download and play on Steam.
