Gamigo Quietly Shuts Down Tower Defense MOBA Hybrid Skydome

After just four months in Early Access, Gamigo has decided to call it quits and shut down Skydome when the 4v4 tower defense MOBA hybrid failed to pull its own weight. SteamDB data shows an all-time peak concurrency of 226 players and less than 10 players logging in in a 24-hour period since last month.
Players were apparently notified of the game’s closure via email a day before the servers were scheduled to go offline. Those who bought the $30 Founder’s Pack and other in-game items are advised to request for a refund on Steam or Glyph, depending on where the purchases were made. Players can either get a full refund or the purchase amount’s value in credits plus an additional 20%. These credits can be used in any of Glyph’s games, including RIFT and Trove.
According to parent company MGI’s Q3 2021 investor report, both Skydome and Atlas Rogues “did not meet expectations and will not be pursued further.” Atlas Rogues, however, remains in maintenance mode. How long it will remain online is anyone’s guess.
Meanwhile, Gamigo has been teasing an untitled MMO over the past few weeks with retellings of the game’s lore. The studio will also be relinquishing ArcheAge and ArcheAge Unchained publishing rights to Kakao Games effective tomorrow.
