Galactic Getaway Ends Kickstarter Drive With Over $65K And Three Stretch Goals Unlocked

Galactic Getaway has ended its Kickstarter campaign with a win, not a big win but a win all the same. The month-long $50,000 crowdfunding drive raised a total of $65,847 with three out of the four stretch goals unlocked, including cooking, fishing, and player-run shops.

The game itself revolves around the creation of the ultimate galactic destination with customizable planets, player housing, high-tech gadgets, pets, and minigames. Think Animal Crossing with a space sci-fi twist.

“Welcome to Galactic Getaway, a cozy MMO where you can explore outer space with friends and build a planet you can call home. Make pets with the wildlife, farm undiscovered alien crops, and decorate your house as you settle on your dream planet.”

Alpha testing is expected to begin in April with early access launch set for August on PC, Mac, and Nintendo Switch.
