Future Black Desert Content Revealed At Conference

Daum and Pearl Abyss recently held a conference to announce upcoming Black Desert Online content. The announcements can be found on Inven with slides included. Steparu has also provided a short version of the announcements in English.

Four new awakenings have been announced. The Ninja will become a multi-sword class. The Kunoichi awakening is a "large chakram." Witch and Wizard will both become elemental orb wielders. The Witch will wield Earth and Lightning orbs while the Wizard will wield Fire and Water orbs.

A new class called Dark Elf will be added. It will be a long sword-wielding melee class with a focus on mobility and offense. The Google translated version of the Inven article seems to imply that it will have a similar feel to the Ranger class.

Both snowy and underwater areas will be introduced. Players will be able to explore underwater. Siege islands and battleships will be introduced.

The team is discussing better ways for new players to catch up with veterans.

Horses will be able to reach Tier 9. They will have new skills available. Horses will have a Pegasus feature that allows them to glide to the ground safely when falling from great heights. A new unicorn feature will buff passengers and provide offensive capabilities.

A baby elephant might be introduced for trade purposes. The announcement seems to imply it would be a mount.

A "most wanted" bounty system of sorts is mentioned, but it's unclear how it will work.
