Funcom Kind Of Reveals More About The Park

When I look at The Park right now, I tend to ask the hard questions. "Can Funcom really make a successful adventure game after all these years?" "Why haven't we seen more of it yet?" Given that the game launches next month, which begins in a mere six days, it would be a fair question to ask. Funcom's Creative Director Joel Bylos was even quoted saying "Characters, sound, cinematics, environments, story and gameplay are all coming together. 'The Park' is in its last phase of polish and the team is very excited to launch the game in October." So then why don't we know more?

Play as Lorraine, a mother facing every parent's worst nightmare.

I suppose they want to keep the air of mystery intact. Today, Funcom sort of reveals more but also doesn't. For the first time, we see the player character and learn that her name is Lorraine. Other than that, we get a brief look at the environments, which may look familiar for existing players of The Secret World. I've included all of the screenshots from the press release with the captions they were given.

This single-player first-person horror adventure based on The Secret World is set to launch in October. You can find more information on the official site.
