Multiplayer zombie survival game Fractured Veil was supposed to launch into early access this year, but with just a few days left until the turn of the year, Paddle Creek Games has decided to hold off on the launch until next year.

While they failed to deliver on their promise, the developers did manage to roll out an impressive list of new features and improvements to the game over the past year. These include the addition of new mutant enemy types, a weather system, a dynamic talent system, new zones and quests, and dungeons, Veil travel, and base decorations as well as improvements to the building system, crafting and harvesting systems, AI behavior, siege mechanics, water effects and foliage, and the game engine.

Players can expect more features to be added next year, including biome changes, the addition of resources unique to each biome, and dungeon overhauls. There’s no timeline as to when these new features will arrive or when the Hawaiian survival game will be launching into early access but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear news from Paddle Creek.

“It was another huge year of progress for Fractured Veil, the post-apocalyptic Hawaiian survival game you’ve been waiting for,” said the studio. “We’re keeping the momentum going and our game is only going to get bigger and better thanks to all your great support.”
