Fractured Online Introduces PvP Seasons In Its Latest Beta Build

fractured online sandbox mmorpg pvp season faction flags

‘Tis the season to be fighting in Fractured Online as the dynamic sandbox MMORPG gets PvP seasons in its latest beta update. Players will now be able to rank up, track their progress and PvP stats, and how well they fare against other players with the introduction of season points, visible PvP ELO ratings, and leaderboards for both players and guilds.

Players start off as off as Unranked with 0 PvP ELO (PE) and will gain 2 PE every time they kill another player and gain “loot rights”, regardless of player alignment, and will lose 1 PE for each time they’re killed. Once they reach 20 PE, they’ll move to Rank PE and are automatically assigned a score of 1000. At this point, they can never go back to Unranked. From there, the actual ELO formula will be used to determine the amount of points they earn or lose when killing or dying in PvP.

“Players don’t gain actually loot rights against other players like they do VS monsters,” the devs explain. “Whether a player can loot the corpse of another player depends solely on the alignment of the two and ‘loot rights’ are used solely to determine whether a player has deal enough damage or not.”

With PvP seasons now live, cities will now be able to pledge allegiance to guilds which will grant chosen guilds every 24 hours. Allegiances can be changed at any time except when the city is under siege.

The latest beta update also brings with it a handful of bug fixes and backend improvements. Details can be found in the full patch notes on the Fractured Online official site.
