Fractured Online Reveals Two-Month Roadmap And Promising Sales Numbers

Fractured Online’s sales numbers are in, and it looks like the dynamic sandbox MMORPG has been doing well since it’s Steam relaunch earlier this month. In the name of transparency, developer Dynamight Studios included sales and concurrency charts in its latest roadmap for the early access title.

The studio reports that they’ve sold over 5,000 copies of the game and generated roughly $118,000 in gross revenues between November 8th and November 22nd. That’s in addition to the 800 or so pre-order copies that they sold prior to the Fractured Online’s return to Steam. Sales are also back up after the launch week discount ended.

While the numbers are undoubtedly a far cry from the reported revenues of big-name studios, it’ll go a long way to help keep the studio and the game running. “If we keep this pace, by the end of the year we will have raised enough to pay all salaries of 2023 (including all those left behind) and then some,” Dynamight said. “After that, once the studio is back to being really financially sound, we can consider expanding the team again!”

As for the playerbase, the team says that player numbers have mostly remained the same since launch day and that they’re happy with the turnout, all things considered. “Could we have more? For sure, I’d say that having 50% more players in each world on average would be perfect,” they said. “But considering we had a very stealth launch with zero promotion and haven’t started on that side still, this type of organic growth is awesome!”

Meanwhile, the developers are working to crank out more content, features, and improvements over the next two months. That includes additional security measures to prevent a repeat of last weekend’s hack, class and progression balancing, mounts, potions, city bonuses, and the promised VIP system for founder pack owners.

“Mind that the roadmap isn’t set in stone – we could always swap one of the features below for something else if the community demands it strongly,” the studio notes.
