Fractured Online Kicks Off A Five-Day Free-Play Event To Stress Test Its Servers

Dynamight Studios is gearing up for the imminent relaunch of Fractured Online with a five-day free-play event from today until Monday, July 3rd. The free-play period will allow the studio to stress test their new servers and gather much-needed feedback on the current state of the game following their split from Gamigo a few months ago.
“During the test we’re going to analyze multiple performance metrics to assess how our new backend behaves in a real heavy-load scenario,” said Dynamight. “So far the only load-related issues we experienced took place during the first hours of the Relaunch Pretest, but those were strictly related to logins, not in-game performance, and they’ve been corrected with a server migration. The real load testing comes now!”
In preparation for the free-play event, rolled out a patch that fixed several bugs that regularly popped up when players moved from one map to another map that’s handled by a different server process. The team admitted that the issue proved challenging to fix but should now be working as it should.
Let’s end the Relaunch Pretest with a bang: a new Free Play event!
Starting on Thursday, June 29, at 2pm UTC, game servers will be opened to all registered users – no founder pack needed!
