Fortnite Still Exists, Should Release This Year

The hybrid concoction game—between Team Fortress 2, tower defense, and Minecraft—called Fortnite will probably release into Open Beta this year, according to an aside made by Epic Games co-founder Tim Sweeney. If you don't know anything about Fortnite you should check the trailer below to get a general idea.
Fortnite was announced way back in 2011, and then scheduled to release in 2015. That didn't happen.
When the game does launch into Open Beta it will follow the same release principle as Paragon: remain in testing for free—for a long time. That works. It's helped Paragon reach a wide audience and solidify itself in the MOBA department.
We should learn more about Fortnite before 2018.
