Fortnite Opens Limited-Time Zero Build Arena
Fortnite players who’d rather not deal with building lofty sniper towers or flimsy defenses can now compete with other players with the same sentiment and rise through the ranks of the new Zero Build Arena. The new Arena will run until August 30th and is only available in Trios for the time being. It will feature the same weapon and item pool as the regular Zero Build mode, which includes Port-A-Forts, Heavy Snipers, and Shockwave Grenades, among others.
Like traditional Arenas, players will earn Hype by participating in the Zero Build Arena. The more Hype they earn, the higher their rank will be. Their standing, however, will be displayed in a new leaderboard that’s separate from the traditional competitive game modes. As they rise through the rankings, they’ll unlock various rewards, such as unique emotes and sprays, which will be awarded once the Arena season comes to an end.
In other Fortnite news, the Two-Shot shotgun has been buffed with a 50% faster fire rate for the second shot, while the Striker Pump shotgun has had its damage reduced and the Burst AR’s damage now drops off the further away the target is.
The following item changes are now live:
• Striker Pump Shotgun body damage reduced
• Striker Burst AR deals less damage at maximum range
• Port-A-Fort stack size reduced from 5 to 2
