Fortnite Launching Into Paid Early Access on July 25, Free OBT in 2018

Fortnite, the sandbox action building game from Epic Games, is finally going to see the light of day on July 25th, 2017 through a paid early access program with free open beta starting in 2018. Fortnite was originally announced back in 2011 (over 6 years ago!) and was originally scheduled to release in 2015 but didn't do to various setbacks. Fortnite will be available on PC, Mac, Playstation 4, and Xbox One all on July 25th. Anyone who pre-orders a founders pack gets a 4 day head start and can start playing on July 21st.

Fortnite will be free to play at launch for those willing to wait. Fortnite looks to mix survival and sandbox element to create a unique experience. It looks a lot like Micnraft meets Left 4 Dead to me. I'm definitely looking forward to trying this one!
