Fortnite Kicks Off Chapter 3 By Flipping The Island, Spiderman Coming On December 11
Epic Games has literally turned Fortnite on its head as Chapter 3 kicks off in the popular free-to-play battle royale. After being saved by The Foundation (played by Dwayne Johnson) from a seemingly unwinnable war against zombies, UFOs, and the Cube Queen, the island proceeded to flip over to reveal a snowy new landscape with new biomes and locations to explore.

In addition to the new map, Chapter 3 also features the new campsite mechanic that lets players pitch a tent anywhere on the island that can be used to heal up or stash items for use in future matches. Squad members can also use their teammates tents to assemble their own. The top players in a match will also get to wear Victory Crowns in the next match. Winning the match with a Victory Crown will reward them with an exclusive emote.
There’s also new ways of getting around on the island, including sliding downhill while still being able to build and shoot. Knocked players can also crawl faster and can now pick up items while they’re crawling to safety. Starting December 11th, players will also be able to swing around Spidey-style with the addition of web-shooters and the Spiderman outfit in the latest battle pass.
