Fortnite Adds Silenced Pistols, Silencer-Only Game Mode

Fortnite is quietly sneaking its way into 2018 - literally. The rather popular Battle Royale shooter is live with its first major update of the new year - bringing with it a new silenced pistol that can either be found on the floor, in chests, or in supply drops. The new weapon can come in either Epic or Legendary status, and is sure to be a solid addition to any player's arsenal in Fortnite BR.

Sneaky Silencers

Additionally, running from January 5th, until January 8th, there will be a special game mode available to Fortnite BR. It's unique from other game modes in that - well, for one, only the silenced pistol and the silenced SMG are available. No traps are available either - just stealthy shooting.

Additionally, the Bush has a greatly increased drop rate, so players will have to be on their toes at all times. Flashbacks to spy-checking random people, anyone?

This Silenced Pistol is live now, and players can check out the Sneaky Silencers game mode on this Friday, January 5th, until Monday, January 8th.
