Fortnite Will Be Getting A Limited-Time ‘Teams Of 20’ Game Mode Later Today

What’s better than four-man squads? Five-man squads? What about 20-man squads? Fortnite has just announced that they will be introducing a “Teams of 20” Battle Royale mode via a free update rolling out later today. Basically, that’s five teams of 20-man squads fighting it out for their chicken dinner. Oops sorry. Wrong game.

The 20-man game mode will only be available for a limited time and will be the first crazy game mode in a whole lineup of limited time crazy game modes that Epic Games plans to introduce in the near future. "We’ve been hammering away at Limited Time Modes! Getting you multiple playlists (solo, duo and squads) during LTMs is at the top of the priority stack," says Epic. "We’ve been using multiple data points (including your feedback) to iterate our existing LTM’s and to build brand new LTM’s. We are planning to quickly spin up a dozen or so LTMs, some of these may be more straightforward (e.g. along the lines of Sniper Shootout, Sneaky Silencer etc.). We also use LTMs to test new Shooting Models. From there, we want to make internal improvements so we can introduce more involved LTMs (e.g. “floor is lava”)."
