Five New Devs Join The Ashes Of Creation Team

According to a recent press release, Intrepid Studios has signed on five veteran developers to work on their upcoming MMORPG, Ashes of Creation. The recent additions to the game’s development team, most of whom come from Daybreak’s ranks, bring with them a wealth of experience from EverQuest to PlanetSide and H1Z1.

The recent additions to the team are: Lead Economic Designer Rocco Scandizzo, former Managing Director for Psyop Games, and has held directorial positions at Activision and Vivendi; Lead Programmer Kevin McPherson who previously worked on Daybreak Game’s Vanguard, as well as both PlanetSide and EverQuest games; Lead Technical Designer Akil Hooper who has also worked on EverQuest with McPherson; Senior Character Artist Mat Broome who has worked on EverQuest, PlanetSide 2, H1Z1, and DC Universe Online; and Programmer Alex Khudoliy, who was previously a software developer for Amazon.

Intrepid Studios is also nearing the $3M mark on the last day of their Kickstarter campaign. The team will be holding their final Kickstarter livestream later today at 3PM PDT. The studio has also released a video showing off the game’s environments in the depth of winter. Check it out after the break.
